About Us

Digital literacy and online safety for Irish primary schools, created by practicing primary teachers.

What We're All About

bGlic.ie helps primary schools, teachers and parents teach and learn safe, confident and kind digital habits. Our SPHE-aligned programme covers online safety, digital literacy and introductory coding, with practical, curriculum-linked resources you can use in class the next morning.

Learn Something Every Day

I’m a primary teacher and Assistant Principal with more than 20 years in mainstream, learning support and resource settings, in primary and secondary schools both here in Ireland and internationally. In 2019 I founded bGlic.ie to give schools and parents clear, practical ways to keep children safe online. I also supervise trainee teachers’ research for Hibernia College’s Professional Master of Education, so I know what teachers need from good professional learning.

Our Vision

Who We Are

"Children can swipe, tap and scroll. But no one would put a child behind the wheel of a car and call that driving. bGlic.ie teaches the rules of the road."

Learning to drive means learning the rules of the road, spotting danger early and knowing what to do when something goes wrong, and children need the same skills online. bGlic.ie gives pupils, teachers and parents those skills, so children can enjoy the journey and arrive safely

  • bGlic.ie began in 2019 as a school-based programme and has grown into a national primary digital literacy programme for pupils, teachers and parents. We design and deliver workshops and produce curriculum-aligned resources that build practical skills for safe, confident digital engagement.
  • Our team brings together classroom teaching, school leadership, teacher education and project delivery. Niall’s earlier career in finance and project management across Ireland, Luxembourg, Australia and Japan shapes how we run things: clearly, reliably and with schools’ time in mind. We teach in English and as Gaeilge, and Niall is a native Irish speaker.
